Katherine Crumpton Stanley

Reidsville: Katherine Crumpton Stanley, 83, of 702 Thomas Street, went home to be with the Lord, Friday, November 28, 2014, at Moses Cone Memorial Hospital. Graveside funeral services will be held 3:00 PM, Sunday, November 30, 2014 at Reidlawn Cemetery with Rev. Roger Price and Rev. Mark Tolodziecki officiating. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service at the funeral home and other times at her home. Mrs. Stanley was a native of Caswell County and the daughter of the late John Wesley and Annie Ware Crumpton. She was a longtime and faithful member of First Congregational Christian Church where she was actively involved with the Women’s Circle. She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother and friend, always making her house a home. She loved gardening, canning, cooking and tending her flowers. Along with her parents, she was also preceded in death by her husband, Raymond Stanley; her step granddaughter, Samantha Wilson; her sisters, Ruth King and Wilson Woodson; her brothers, Wesley Crumpton, Linwood Crumpton and Paul Crumpton. She is survived by her son, Gerald Stanley and wife, Donna of Reidsville; her daughter, Sheila Hill and husband, Jeff of Bahama, NC; her grandchildren, Emily and Dan Hill; her step grandson, Tyler Wilson and wife, Kimberly; step great granddaughters, Samantha and Danielle Wilson; her brother, James Crumpton and wife, Sylvia of Burlington; her sisters, Myrtle Dyer, Rebecca Comer and husband, Bill of Reidsville and Elizabeth King of Elon, NC, brother-in-law, Thurman King of Yanceyville, NC and numerous nieces and nephews.
