Katheryn LaFond Martin

Reidsville- Katheryn LaFond Martin, 71, of 462 Penn Road, went home to be with The Lord on Monday, January 5th, 2015, at Moses Cone Hospital. A memorial service will be held at 7:00 PM on Friday, January 9, 2015, at Wilkerson Funeral Home with Rev. Heath Lloyd officiating. The family will receive friends Friday evening one hour prior to the service at the funeral home from 6:00 – 7:00 PM. Ms. Martin was a native of Flint, MI and was the daughter of the late Henry and Hazel LaFond. She was formerly an employee of Sears. She adored her family and enjoyed arts and crafts earlier in her life when she was able. Along with her parents, she was also preceded in death by her 2 sisters and 2 brothers. Survivors include her children, Scott Martin of Kernersville and Lori Shambley and husband, Ronald of Reidsville; their father, Kenneth Martin of Reidsville; her grandchildren, Ryan Martin, Brittany Evans and husband, Rodney, Briana Shambley and Taylor Shambley; great grandchildren, Tyler and Reese Evans; sister, Mo Kowalski and husband, John of Michigan; and numerous nieces and nephews.
