Kathleen Coleman Carter

Nipomo, CA – Kathleen Coleman Carter , 85, passed away peacefully at home in Nipomo, California on Sunday, October 1, 2017. She moved to Nipomo in 2013 from Reidsville North Carolina. A graveside service will be held 11:00 AM Tuesday, October 10, 2017 at Roselawn Memorial Gardens in Reidsville, North Carolina with Pastor Bran Albridge officiating. Kathleen was born in Rockingham County to the late Charles Tillman and Rosa Lee Shelton Coleman. She was a longtime and faithful member of College Park Baptist Church and she loved gardening. Along with her parents she was preceded in death by her husband Versa Arbon Carter; sisters, Camilla Hill Patterson, Gladys Mae Martin, Cora Alma Heffinger and brothers Robert Lee Coleman, Ernest Tillman Coleman, John Thomas Coleman and William Westley Coleman. Survivors include daughters, Jacqueline Hester and husband, Patrick of Carpinteria, Ca. and Janice Buckelew of Nipomo Ca; son Versa Arbon Carter, Jr. and wife, Ellen of Jacksonville, Fl; granddaughter, Erica Bottorff and numerous nieces and nephews.
