Kathleen Dabbs Comer

Reidsville – Mrs. Kathleen Dabbs Comer, 95, passed away Friday, February 6, 2015 at the Hospice Home of Rockingham County. A funeral service will held on Monday, February 9, 2015 at Wilkerson Funeral Home at 2:00 PM, with Rev. Sandy Brown officiating. Burial will follow at Evergreen Memory Gardens. Mrs. Comer was born May 17, 1919 in Rockingham County to the late Robert and Betty Mae Dabbs. She was a loving and devoted wife, mother, and grandmother. She was an avid reader, loved birds and flowers. Kathleen was a member of the former church, Hillview Presbyterian Church off of Grooms Road in Reidsville. In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her husband, John Henry Comer of 65 years; a daughter Judy Bailey of Edinburg, VA; and a brother, James Dabbs. Mrs. Comer is survived by her children: sons; Bill Comer and wife, Rebecca, Ronald Comer and wife, Shirley, Mike Comer and wife, Jonna, Dan Comer and wife, Sundy; daughters: Debbie Loftis and husband, Allen, and Kathy Beck and husband, Kenneth; a sister, Dorothy Dalton of Greensboro; 13 grandchildren; and 14 great, and great, great grandchildren. Visitation will be Sunday evening, February 8, 2015 at Wilkerson Funeral Home from 6:00 till 8:00 PM.
