Brown Summit-Mrs. Kathleen Troxler, 92, of Brown Summit passed away on Monday, April 7th, 2014 at her home surrounded by her loved ones.
Mrs. Troxler was born on February 9th, 1922 to the late John Clemmons and Hattie Lillian Shepherd Green. She was a homemaker and later worked at S&H Green Stamps Store for fifteen years. She was a member of Friendship United Methodist Church where she was a Sunday School teacher and Director of Bible School for many years. She was a kind and witty person, who loved her family and friends.
She was preceded in death by her parents and her brother, John Green, Jr.
Survivors include her former high school sweetheart and now husband of seventy-one years, Albert Barron Troxler of the home; two daughters, Alice Simpson (Donnie) and Jan Brown (Kenneth) both of Brown Summit; grandchildren, Kim Boyd (Scott), Jill Simpson, Ken Brown (Crystal), Alicia May (Justin), Kelly Brown (Debra); great-grandchildren, Grayson and Kenzie Boyd and Karsyn May; one sister, LaVerne Brande (Austin) of Brown Summit; numerous nieces, nephews and other extended family.
Graveside services will be held on Thursday, April 10th, 2014 at two o’clock at Friendship United Methodist Church Cemetery in Brown Summit. Rev. Tim Drum will officiate.
The family will receive friends on Wednesday evening from six until eight o’clock at Wilkerson Funeral Home in Reidsville and other times at the family home.
