Kathy Harrell Watkins

Kathy Harrell Watkins, 64, went into the presence of her Lord on Monday, August 22, 2016 from her home. Funeral services will be held 2:00 PM Thursday, August 25, 2016 at Maple Lawn Baptist Church with Rev. Robert Pruitt and Rev. Billy Hicks officiating. Burial will follow in Maple Lawn Baptist Cemetery. Kathy was born December 25, 1951 in Guilford County to the late Walter David Harrell and Margaret Albert Harrell. She was a pleasant, humble, kindhearted and unselfish person. She had a star-spangled attitude toward life. Kathy was a fighter for the Lord and life itself as she endured many illnesses throughout her lifetime. She was a loving wife, mother and grandmother and will be missed by many who were recipients of her love, especially by her family. Kathy is survived by her husband of nearly 47 years, Danny Watkins; daughter, April Ratliff and husband, Carl of Patrick Springs, VA; grandchildren: Matthew Ratliff and Corporal Wesley Ratliff (USMC) and wife, Somer. Visitation for family and friends will take place Wednesday evening, August 24, 2016 from 6:00 till 8:00 PM at Wilkerson Funeral Home; other times at the home.
