Kay Gerringer Wagoner

Kay Gerringer Wagoner, 80, went home to be with the Lord on January 30, 2025. The family will receive friends from 5 to 7 p.m. on Saturday, February 1, 2025, at Wilkerson Funeral Home in Reidsville. The funeral service will be held at Friendship United Methodist Church on Sunday, February 2, 2025, at 2 p.m. Reverend Kevin Cochran will officiate, and burial will follow in the church cemetery.

Kay was the daughter of the late Garland and Theda Gerringer. She taught school for 32 years with the Guilford County School System. After graduating from Elon College, she taught at Gibsonville, McLeansville, and Sedalia elementary schools. Her hobbies included playing cards, reading books, camping at the beach, and going to estate and yard sales.

She was preceded in death by her father, William Garland, and her mother, Theda Gerringer.

Kay is survived by her husband, Frankie Wagoner; her twin daughters, Amanda Thompson (Elliott) and Shannon Law (Chris); her son, Matthew Wagoner (Tammy); her brothers, Doug Gerringer (Beth) and Randy Gerringer (June); her grandchildren, Reid Thompson (Makaela), Caleb Law, Ryan Thompson, Garrett Law, Gavin Wagoner, and Noah Wagoner; as well as three nephews and two nieces.
