Keith Robert Mabe

Keith Robert Mabe, 60, of 192 Catawba Dr. went home to be with The Lord on Tuesday, April 27, 2021. He passed peacefully at his home surrounded by his loving family. A graveside memorial service will be held 2:00 PM Saturday May 1, 2021 at Roselawn Memorial Gardens with Pastor Wendell Edwards officiating. The family will receive friends at Wilkerson Funeral Home from 12:30 – 1:30 prior to the graveside service on Saturday. Please be considerate of the family by remembering social distancing and wearing a mask. Keith was born in Rockingham County to the late Rosie and Earlie Mabe. He worked as a Formulation Colorist for UNIFI and retired with over 38 years of service. He could be found on most beautiful days riding around with the top down in his Mustang. Another of his favorite pastimes was playing golf with his friends. He loved his family and friends dearly. Keith never met a stranger, and because of his “larger than life” personality was loved by everyone he met. Along with his parents, Keith was also preceded in death by his stepfather Watson Mabe; sisters Bertha Austin and Pat Lewis; and brother Jack Mabe. Keith is survived by his wife Ruby Shoemaker Mabe; sons, Dustin Mabe and wife Kristy and Ronald Critzer and wife Dawn; daughters Kristin Pebelske and husband Jon and Amanda Hudson and husband David; grandchildren Harmony, Harper, Ella, Jack, Skylar, Vinny, Annabella and David; sisters Betty Patterson, Margaret Woosley and Trish Sherrill and husband Sam and a large extended family.
