Reidsville: Kenneth "Butch" Allison Garrett, 65, of 865 Wolf Island Road, died on Sunday, March 8, 2009 at the Rockingham County Hospice Home. Funeral services will be held at 2:00 PM, Wednesday, March 11, 2009 at Wilkerson Funeral Home. Interment will follow in Evergreen Memory Gardens with military graveside rites. Butch was born in Rockingham County to the late James William Garrett and Kiness McDonald Garrett. He was a veteran of the US Navy and retired from Pierce Homes as a trim contractor after 23 years of service. He is survived by his wife, Phyllis Garrett of the home; daughter, Kim Perdue and husband, Marty; son, Ricky Garrett and wife, Teresa; step children, Sharon Vincent and husband, Todd, Robin Pegram and husband, Allen; grandchildren, Ritchie Garrett and Jake Perdue; step grandchildren, Jonathan Revis and wife, Deanna, Michael Vincent and wife, Megan, and Jessica Pegram; great grandchildren, Nate Revis and Natalie Vincent, all of Reidsville; siblings, Jerry Garrett and wife, Carol of Fairhope, AL, Frances Cox and husband, Ralph of Reidsville; Gene Garrett and wife, Virginia of Raleigh, NC, Paul "Bo" Garrett and wife, Sandy of Reidsville; faithful canine companion, Shack. The family will receive friends at Wilkerson Funeral Home on Tuesday, March 10th from 6:00 - 8:00 PM. Other times the family will be at the residence.
