Browns Summit: Mr. Kenneth Bryant Huffines, 63, passed away on Wednesday, August 19th, 2015.
Mr. Huffines was born on November 17th, 1951 in Guilford County to the late Frank Edward Huffines and Ruth Key Huffines. He was a lifelong farmer and a beloved member of the Browns Summit and Monticello Communities. His work ethic was admired by many.
Mr. Huffines was an avid golfer and was a regular at Monroeton Golf Course, where he cherished every Friday and Saturday he spent amongst his closest friends. He also could be found spending his spare time at Chrismon Garage, catching up on the latest community updates.
Other than his parents, he was preceded in death by his sister, Ellen LaVerne Huffines.
Survivors include his wife of thirty-seven years, Pamela Thompson Huffines of the home; one daughter, Kristen Renee’ Huffines of New York City; his feline companion of nineteen years, Pepper; father and mother-in-law, Richard and Naomi Thompson of McLeansville; brother-in-law, Richard Ray Thompson; his cousin, Maynard Huffines of Charlotte, whom he shared a special bond over farming and family; childhood friends, Larry Spencer and Greg Fulk.
Pam and Kristen wish to pay a special tribute to his best friend, Ernie Green and wife, Joy, whom he considered family.
The family will receive friends on Saturday evening from four until six o’clock at Wilkerson Funeral Home, 1909 Richardson Drive, Reidsville, North Carolina 27320.
