Kenneth "Ken" Cloyd Yount

Kenneth “Ken” Cloyd Yount, 70, of Reidsville, passed away peacefully Tuesday, March 5, 2019 at Moses Cone Hospital. There will be a time of receiving friends from 4-5:00 PM and an informal service at 5:00 PM on Saturday March 9, 2019 at Wilkerson Funeral Home. Ken was born in Rockingham County to the late, Larry and Matilda “Pete” Stanley Yount. He was formerly employed with Mark IV Beverage and worked for years as a delivery truck driver. Ken was an avid outdoorsman, especially any kind of fishing. His interests also included music, sports, bird watching and his love for cooking. He was a friend to many and will be missed. He is survived by his children, Lori Yount Sands and husband, Tim of Pinnacle, NC and Jason Yount of Pilot Mountain, NC; grandchildren, Zachary Warner and wife, Holly and Daniel Yount; great grandson, Colton Warner; brothers, Coley Yount, John Yount and wife, Felicia and Danny Yount and wife, Robin all of Reidsville; half sisters, Sandra Barkley and husband, Robert and Gypsy Alexander all of Florida; a large extended family, many wonderful friends and his beloved chocolate lab, Woody. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that memorial contributions be made to the Outer Banks Preservation Association, PO Box 1355, Buxton, NC 27920-1335.
