Kenneth Warren Perkins

Reidsville: Dr. Kenneth Warren Perkins, age 89, of Reidsville, died on August 22, 2016. Dr. Perkins was a native of Pittsfield, Massachusetts, but was a Reidsville resident for over twenty-five years, coming here from Alamance County. Dr.Perkins was a graduate of Berea College in Berea, Kentucky and of Purdue University in Lafayette, Indiana. He was chief zoologist with Carolina Biological Supply Company prior to his retirement. He was a member of Friends of NC State Parks, Rockingham County Naturalist Club and North Carolina Wild Foods. Survivors include his wife, Margaret S. Perkins; two daughters, Dr. Virginia Perkins Johnson; Dr. Susan Perkins Ashdown; one son, David Warren Perkins; eight grandchildren and six great-grandchildren.
