Kenneth Wayne Porter

Kenneth “Wayne” Porter, 72, passed away peacefully at home on February 22, 2023.

A graveside service will be held at Lively Stones Church Cemetery on Monday, February 27, 2023, at 2:00 P.M. with Pastor Michael Kent officiating.

Wayne was born in Rockingham County to the late Robert Kenneth Porter and Pauline Scott Porter. He attended Ruffin Highschool and later joined the US Army where he served in the Vietnam War. He loved dancing, old cars, and racing. He was a simple man who loved his family. He will be greatly missed by all who knew him.

He is survived by his sons, Gary Porter and wife, Heather, Jeff Porter and fiancé, Robin Vaden; 7 grandchildren, 2 great grandchildren; brothers, Donnie and Jerry Porter; sister, Deborah Gardner as well as a large and loving group of extended family and friends.
