Reidsville: Kenneth Dwight Stone, 69, of 145 Berrymore Road, passed away on Sunday, February 15, 2015 at Annie Penn Hospital surrounded by his family. Funeral services will be held at 2:00PM Thursday, Ferbruary19, 2015 at Reidsville Christian Church where he was a member, with Shannon Newsome and Harvey Yarborough officiating. Interment will follow in Evergreen Memory Gardens with military graveside rites performed by The Rockingham County Honor Guard. Kenneth was born in Rockingham County to the late Ernest and Sadie Overby Stone and was a veteran of the US Air Force. He was the owner/ operator of Ken’s Lawn Company for over 40 years. He spent his life trying to nourish his faith, family and the landscaping of Rockingham County. Along with his parents he was preceded in death by an infant son, Jason Dwight Stone. Survivors include his wife, Carlotta Stone; daughters, Cynthia Stone and Jessica Brunson; sons, Brian Stone and wife, Amy and Jeff Hale and Linda; grandchildren, Brandon Williams , Hailey and Lacey Stanfield, Nathaniel and Emmitt Brunson; sister, Janice Miller and husband, Neal; nephew, Kevin Miller and wife, Lori and special friends, Jeff and Kevin Barham. The family will receive friends on Wednesday, February 18th at Wilkerson Funeral Home from 6-8 PM and other times at the home. Memorial contributions may be made to Reidsville Christian Church Building Fund, 2020 South Park Drive, Reidsville, NC 27320 Wilkerson Funeral Home is assisting the family and condolences may be made to the family at www.wilkersonfuneral.com.
