Kimberly Walker Sutherland

Reidsville – Kimberly Walker Sutherland, 43, of 218 Pine Needles Road, went home to be with the Lord on Monday, January 24, 2011 at Moses Cone Memorial Hospital. Funeral services will be held 3:00 PM on Friday, January 28, 2011 at Wilkerson Funeral Home with Rev. Ron Warner and Rev. James Hodges officiating. The burial will follow in Reidlawn Cemetery. Kim was born in Rockingham County and graduated from Rockingham County High School. She also attended Rockingham Community College. She was employed by Convatec Inc. as a tech operator for over 21 years. Always trusting the Lord, she was a faithful member of Freedom Baptist Church. She was a loving wife, mother, daughter and friend. She was selfless and always considerate of others. Kim was preceded in death by her maternal grandparents, Rev. Elmer and Elsie Stone; her paternal grandparents, Jessie Walker and Lena Wyatt; and her aunt, Brenda Ingle. Kim is survived by her husband, Billy Joe Sutherland of the home; her daughter, Ashley Brianna Sutherland of the home; her mother, Virgie Geraldine Stanley; her father, Curtis Wayne Walker and wife, Glynda; her sister, Carrie Walker Klemmons; her uncle, Clinton Thomas Stone and wife, Cindy; special cousins, Kay Giles and son, Skyler, Kristie Hutchens and daughters, Brenna and Khloe; Aunt Doris Pillar and Great Aunt Frances Wilson; mother-n-law, Sadie May Tilley; special friends, Mary Hull and husband, Larry and Jodie Case; and her bestest and closest companion, her Papillon, Bo Bo. The family will receive friends, Thursday, January 27 at Wilkerson Funeral Home from 7:00 – 9:00 PM and other times at the home.
