Lalene Page Sandling

Lalene Page Sandling, 76, passed away late Friday, December 9, 2016 at Jacob’s Creek Nursing and Rehabilitation Center. A Graveside Service will be held at 2:00 P.M., Tuesday December 13, 2016 at Evergreen Memory Gardens with Rev. Ronnie Jones officiating. Lalene was born on July 21, 1940 to the late Rex Sterling Page and Thelma Holliman Page. She was retired from Burlington Industries and was an avid softball player. Her time was spent mostly with her family and grandchildren. Her hobbies included cooking, reading, and watching John Wayne movies. Along with her parents, Lalene was preceded in death by her brother, Russell Page. Survivors include her husband, Victor Sandling; a son, Mickey Sandling and wife, Teresa of Reidsville; daughters: Bobbie Sandling Tate of Sutherlin, VA and Robin Sandling Collins and husband, Garry of Reidsville; grandchildren: Cory Sandling, Evan Sandling, Lauren Tate Hudson, Macie Moore and Robert Collins; and three great grandchildren; and a sister, Linda Berkley. In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to the Hospice Home of Rockingham County, P.O. Box 281, Wentworth, NC 27375.
