Lanni Paschal

Lanni Davis Paschal of Ruffin passed away on Friday, November 17, 2023.  The son of Hubert and Hessie Paschal, Lanni grew up in rural Caswell and Rockingham Counties.  He learned the value of hard work from a young age working on the farm alongside his parents and siblings.  Lanni was a United States Army veteran.  After the army, Lanni became a well-respected electrician, working independently and for several electrical companies.  He also worked as a safety manager for an industrial construction company at Proctor and Gamble. 

Lanni was known for his kind nature, always willing to drop what he was doing to help anyone in need. He found great joy in spending time with his grandchildren.  In addition to a love of working on his farm, he was a very talented woodworker and jack of all trades.  He was a loyal friend to many and will be greatly missed.

In addition to his parents, Lanni was preceded in death by his parents; sisters, Carolyn Overby and Joyce Travis and brother, Ricky Paschal.

He is survived by his wife, Rhonda Reynolds-Paschal of the home; daughters, Amanda Allen and husband Coy of Blacksburg, VA, and IviJo Williams and husband David of Reidsville; grandchildren, Cora and Annie Allen; Natalie, Madeline, Daniel and EvieJo Williams; siblings, Margie Manley (Jerry), Pamela Coker (TC), Glenn Paschal (Janice), Randy Paschal and Wesley Paschal (Rhonda); and numerous extended family.

A memorial service will be held at noon on Monday, November 20, 2023 at Pleasant View Assembly of God, 10792 Cherry Grove Road, Reidsville, officiated by Rev. Gary Loftis. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service.
