Larry Wayne Massey

Ruffin – Larry Wayne Massey, 60, of 11168 Park Springs Road, passed away on Thursday, December 3, 2009 at Annie Penn Hospital.Funeral services will be held 11:00 AM Saturday, December 5, 2009 at Reidsville Baptist Church with Dr. Jerry Carter officiating. The interment will follow in Roselawn Memorial Gardens.Larry was born in Rockingham County to the late Albert Lee Massey and Minnie Mae Wilson Hopkins. He was formerly employed with Golden Belt. He was a longtime and faithful member of Reidsville Baptist Church. Larry was an avid sportsman and he especially loved golf. Along with his parents, he was also preceded in death by his brother, Jimmy Lee Massey. He is survived by his wife, Cathy Barker Massey of the home; his sisters, Nancy Vincent and husband, Ron of Reidsville, Betty Farmer and Stan Kozdrowski of Stoneville and Janet Shelton and husband, Lee of Eden; his step brother, Johnny Hopkins and wife, Kathy of Eden; his brothers-in-law, Steve Barker and wife, Cathy of Reidsville and Larkin Landrum of Raleigh, NC; and numerous nieces and nephews.The family will receive friends Friday, December 4 at Wilkerson Funeral Home from 6:00 – 8:00 PM and other times at the residence.
