Reidsville – Laura Cristina Salinas, 18, of 428 Bell Road, passed away Wednesday, November 4, 2009.Funeral mass will be held 12:00 PM Saturday, November 7, 2009 at Holy Infant Catholic Church with Father Joseph Mack officiating. The burial and committal will be held 3:00 PM, Sunday, November 8th at Reidlawn Cemetery.Laura was born in Rockingham County. She graduated from Reidsville High School in 2009 as an honor student. She was a member of the National Honor Society and a Junior Marshall. She was in her first year at UNCG with plans to be a pediatric nurse because she loved children. She loved life, dancing and music. Laura was a voracious reader and adored her kitty cats. The youngest of five children, she was a loving daughter, sister and friend. Because of her sweet spirit, she had lots of friends that loved her and will miss her.Laura is survived by her, parents, Felix and Maria Salinas of the home; her sisters, Juana Solorzano and husband, Eligio and Ana Salinas; her brothers, Eleazar Salinas and wife, Nancy and Ezekiel Salinas all of Reidsville; her paternal grandmother, Tomasa Salinas of Texas; her paternal grandfather, Santos Montero of Mexico; her maternal grandmother, Beda Galvan of Mexico; and a large extended family.The family will receive friends Saturday evening, November 7th from 6-8 PM at Wilkerson Funeral Home and other times at the home.
