Laura Hall Stone

Reidsville: Laura Hall Stone, 91, of 700 Roach Street, died on Wednesday, August 7, 2013, at Avante. Funeral services will be held at 2:00 PM Saturday, August 10, 2013, at Wilkerson Funeral Home Chapel with Mr. Phillip Boswell officiating. The burial will follow in Evergreen Memory Gardens. Mrs. Stone was born in Guilford County to the late Alvin Hunter and Era Peeden Hall. She was a member of Penn Memorial Baptist Church. Along with her parents, she was preceded in death by her husbands, Clarence W. Shackelford, H. W. “Bill” Busick and Henry “Pete” Stone; and three brothers, Herman, Dewey and Giles Hall. Mrs. Stone is survived by her daughter, Shirley Shackelford Willard and husband, Kenneth; her grandchildren, Ann E. Loftis and partner Stephanie Edwards, Amy L. Boswell and husband, Phillip; her great grandchildren Amber and Anna Boswell; her sister Linda White; and three nephews. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the funeral from 1:00 – 2:00 PM.
