Reidsville: Lena
Mae Martin Harrelson Lovelace, 85, of 515 Triangle Road, passed away peacefully
surrounded by her loving family, Monday, June 9, 2008 at her home.
Funeral services will be held on Thursday,
June 12, 2008, at 2:00 PM at Wilkerson Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Johnny
Roberts officiating. Interment will
follow in Fairview
Baptist Church
cemetery.
Mrs. Lovelace was a native of Rockingham County and was born to the late James Henry
and Della Smithey Martin. She was a
faithful homemaker and of the Baptist faith. Lena
was a wonderful cook and was known as a mother to all because of her compassion
for helping others. Mrs. Lovelace’s love for her family was evident by her
passionate commitment to being a homemaker. She loved to go and listen to Bluegrass music and finally and most importantly, Mrs. Lovelace
was a phenomenal mother and grandmother.
Along with her parents, she was
preceded in death by her husbands, Harry Harrelson of 54 years and Raymond
Lovelace of 2 years; grand-daughter, Tammie H. Blackwell, and sisters Pauline
Wilson and Irene Jordan.
Mrs. Lovelace is survived by her son,
Harry Lee Harrelson and wife, Betty of Reidsville; grandchildren, Timmie
Harrelson and wife, Alison and Amy Jacobs and husband, Tim;
great-grandchildren, Jason Blackwell and wife Ashley, Amber Harrelson and
fiancé Craig Brown, Ashlie Harrelson, Kassi Jacobs and Dalton Jacobs; great-great-grandchild,
Jacob Blackwell; several nieces and nephews; special friends, Sharlene Benfield
and husband, Charles; and a very special friend, Robert Johnson;
The family will receive friends
at Wilkerson Funeral Home on Wednesday, June 11, 2008 from 6 to 8 PM and other
times at her son’s home, 181 Reid
Lake Rd, Reidsville.
