Leona Jones Gray

Pelham- Leona Jones Gray, 88, of 332 Dibrell Road, passed away on Friday, February 14, 2014 at Danville Regional Hospital. A graveside service will be held 1:00M on Wednesday, February19, 2014 at Danville Memorial Gardens with Rev. Bill McKinney officiating. Mrs. Gray was born in Caswell County to the late Robert Lee and Leona Burton Jones. She was previously a nurse’s aid with the Rockingham Council on Aging and a member of Christian Fellowship Church. Along with her parents she was preceded in death by her husband, Eugene “Joe” Gray, brothers, Claude , Edgar and Vester Jones; sisters, Pearl Slaydon and Bonnie Caudle. Survivors include her sons, Larry Wayne Gray and wife, Phyllis of Bethany, Kenneth Eugene Gray, Curtis Gray both of Pelham and daughter, Jackie Saunders and husband, John; grandchildren, Kristy Lawson, Tracy Cobb, Timothy Gray, Laura Gray, Christian Gray and five great grandchildren and baby, Mariah.
