Leonard Curtis Cobb

Eden - Leonard Curtis Cobb, 86, of 134 North Rickman Street, passed away Wednesday, August 3, 2011 at the Annie Penn Hospital.Graveside funeral services will be held 10:00 AM Thursday, August 4, 2011 at Dan River Primitive Baptist Church Cemetery.Mr. Cobb was born in Rockingham County, NC and was the son of the late David and Annie McKinney Cobb. He was a longtime and faithful member of Dan River Primitive Baptist Church where he served as a Deacon. He retired from Fieldcrest Mills after over 40 years of service. He remained faithful to his mother until her very last breath at 99. Along with his parents, he was also preceded in death by 11 brothers and sisters.Mr. Cobb is survived by his brothers, Brooks Cobb and wife, Geraldine of Brown Summit, NC and Edward Cobb of Reidsville, NC; his sister, Laura Ethel Shreves of Reidsville and numerous nieces and nephews.There will be no formal visitation.
