Reidsville-Lesley "Lee" Francis Edmonds, 46, of 1045 Cedar Lane, died Wednesday, February 8, 2012 at his home.Funeral services will be held at 1:00 PM, Saturday, February 11, 2012 at Reidsville Christian Church with Mr. Shannon Newsome officiating.Lee was born in Rockingham County and lived in Reidsville most of his life. He was a member of the Reidsville Christian Church. Lee was a Lieutenant with the Reidsville Police Department where he served for over 25 years. He was a faithful and dependable family man and was always the life of the party. Lee was a fanatical Duke fan and made sure everyone knew it! He served on the Board of Directors for the Rockingham County Animal Shelter. He enjoyed all sports, especially hunting and going to the beach. He was preceded in death by his father, Lesley Francis Edmonds; his maternal grandfather, Troy "Pete" Chaney; his maternal grandmother, Bertha Somers Mundy and her husband, Bernard Mundy; and his paternal grandparents, George and Alice Edmonds.Lee is survived by his wife, Rayann Raymond Edmonds of the home; his children, Amanda Edmonds, Brittany Revis and Jeremy Revis all of Reidsville; grandchildren, Austin and Grayson Edmonds; mother, Sandra Chaney Edmonds of Reidsville; sister, Laura Edmonds Wilson of Reidsville; father-in-law, Robert Raymond; sister-in-law, Karen Raymond; and his dog, Jasper.The family will receive friends at Wilkerson Funeral Home on Friday, February 10, 2012 from 6:00 - 8:00 PM and other times at Robert Raymond's home (1035Cedar Lane).Memorial contributions may be made to the Rockingham County Animal Shelter, 250 Cherokee Camp Road, Reidsville, NC 27320.
