Lewis Alton "Jack" Pruitt

Lewis Alton “Jack” Pruitt, 90, of Summerfield, passed away on Sunday, February 5, 2023, and is now in heaven with Jesus and his beloved wife, Jewel, who passed away on December 24, 2022, after 71 years of marriage.

A funeral service will be held at 2PM on Thursday, February 9, 2023, at Maple Lawn Baptist Church with Rev. Wesley Byerly and Rev J.T. Byerly officiating; burial will follow in the church cemetery. The family will receive friends on Wednesday, February 8, 2023, at Wilkerson Funeral Home from 5-7 P.M. and other times at the home of his son, Danny Pruitt.

Jack was born in Stokes County to Nathaniel and Minnie Pruitt. He is survived by his sons, Danny (Janet) Pruitt, Bobby (Patti) Pruitt, both of Reidsville; grandchildren, Shannon Pruitt, Andrea (David) Moore, and Benjamin Pruitt; great-grandchildren, Hayden Keeffer, Phoenix Fretwell, Aubrey Moore, Kayla Moore, Sydney (Andrew) Fain, Morgan, Baylee, Sarah, and Jewel Pruitt; sisters, Irene Shields, Mazie Matthews, Leona Cox, Oma Lou Pitts, Lula Mae Bullins, and brother, Terry Pruitt.
