Lewis Curtis Ellis

Reidsville: Lewis Curtis Ellis, Jr., 46, of 148 Wright Trail, died Thursday, May 22, 2008 at Moses Cone Hospital. There will be a private service at a later date. Curtis was born in Guilford County to Lewis Curtis Ellis, Sr. and Mattie Elisick Knipper on October 30, 1961 and has lived in Rockingham County for twenty years.   He attended First Wesleyan Church in High Point and First Christian Church in Reidsville.   He enjoyed spending time with his grandchildren, was fun loving and a jack of all trades.   He was preceded in death by his grandparents, Jason and Ruby Elisick and Goldie Barber Byrd. Along with his parents, he is survived by his son, Jason Curtis Douglas Ellis of Nagshead, NC; daughters, Sarah Yvette Ellis, Jessica Dawn Ellis-Wells and husband, Chad, Tiffany Lynn Goolsby and husband, James, all of Reidsville, and Natalie Marie Hackney of Madison; grandchildren, Summer Michelle Wells,   Abigail Jordan Marie Goolsby, Chance Tyler Wells, Tyler Damien Curtis Scheid, Michael Daniel Goolsby, and Nathan D. Lester; step-brother, Largo Frye and ex-wife, Doris Bledsoe.   Best friends, Gary James Bledsoe, Joe Watkins, Jason Petty and Dottie and Ray Meacher.   The family will receive friends at Wilkerson Funeral Home on Saturday, May 24, 2008 from 7:00 to 9:00 PM.   At other times, the family will be at 2497 Holiday Loop.
