Lewis Henry Wagoner

Lewis Wagoner, 64, passed away peacefully on Saturday, July 22, 2017 surrounded by his family. Graveside services will be held at Bethesda Church with Rev. Allen Myers officiating on Tuesday, July 25th, 2017 at 10:00 AM. The family will only receive friends at Wilkerson Funeral Home Monday, July 24th, 2017 from 6:00PM to 8:00 PM Mr. Wagoner was born July 28th, 1952 to the late Paul and Estelle Wagoner. He was a 1970 graduate of Ruffin High School. He was happily married for 38 years to his loving wife Linda Woodson Wagoner. He worked for Miller Brewing Company for 34 years where he was a shop steward for over 25 years. Lewis had a wonderful knack for solving complex problems; he was a simple man who loved his family and friends. He was a diehard Duke and New York Yankees fan. He loved to fish, garden, and eating breakfast out with friends. During his last days on earth, he enjoyed riding his golf cart with his dog Princess, watching his garden grow as well as the hummingbirds outside the kitchen window. Along with his parents he was preceded in death by brothers, Numa Wagoner and Paul Wagoner Jr. and sister, Robin Huffman. Survivors include his wife Linda Wagoner; daughter, Laura Wagoner; grandchild Caleb Thompson; brothers, Bobby Wagoner and David Wagoner (Henrietta) Wilkerson Funeral Home is assisting the family and condolences may be made to the family at www.wilkersonfuneral.com.
