Lila Mae Jarman Medley

Reidsville: Lila T. Medley , 84 of 761 Mockingbird Road, Gretna, VA and formerly of Reidsville, died on Tuesday, July 12, 2011 at her home.A memorial service will be held at 11:00 AM Friday, July 15, 2011 at Wilkerson Funeral Home.Lila was a daughter of the late Nathan Ransome Jarman and Charity Rosabelle Coombs Jarman. She was of the Jehovah Witness faith, a CNA and a quilter. She had a real passion for horticulture and was a master gardener. In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her children, Gene Johnson, Terry Lee Johnson and Sandra Ellen Hancock; sister, Margaret Brown and Polly Jarman; and companion, Marvin Blizzard. She is survived by her sons, C. Nathan Townsend of Reidsville, Lynn Richard Johnson and wife, Pat of Fall Branch, TN, daughter, Lila T. Patterson and husband, David of Gretna, VA, and 61 grandchildren, great grandchildren and great great grandchildren.
