Lillie Gwynn Robertson

Reidsville- Mrs. Lillie Gwynn Robertson, 94, of Reidsville, passed away on Friday, July 24th, 2015. Mrs. Robertson was born on June 21st, 1921 to the late John and Nova Price Gwynn. She attended church at the Salvation Army, where she served as a greeter. She enjoyed her flowers, crocheting and crafts. She was a people person and enjoyed chatting with her friends. Wherever she was, she lit up the room with her energy. She was preceded in death by her husband, Jim Robertson and her siblings, John “Wesley” Gwynn, James “Jim” Gwynn, Joseph "Joe" Gwynn, Mable Apple and Mildred Fitzgerald. Survivors include, her daughter, Debbie Robertson Wilkins (John Pauls); step-grandchildren, Hayden and Tyler Pauls; sister-in-law, Sylvia Gwynn; cousins, David Gwynn and Robin Crowe. Funeral services will be held on Monday, July 27th, 2015 at two o’clock at Wilkerson Funeral Home. Major Leona Bryant will officiate. Interment will follow in Reidlawn Cemetery. A reception will follow after the graveside services at the Salvation Army Church on Barnes Street. The family will receive friends from six until eight o’clock on Sunday evening at the funeral home. Flowers will be accepted or contributions may be made to Salvation Army, 704 Barnes Street, Reidsville, North Carolina 27320 or to the charity of the donor’s choosing. The family wishes to thank her sister-in-law and special friend, Ruth Apple; her caregivers, Nancy McBride, Lynn Lineback and Becky Brown; her “family” at Ernie’s Restaurant; Barbara Oakes for keeping her beautiful and her church family at Salvation Army, who have always been there for her.
