Linda Smith Chapman

Linda Smith Chapman, 79, left us to have a seat with Jesus on Wednesday, April 12, 2023.

A graveside service will be held at 2:00PM on Sunday, April 16, 2023, at Evergreen Memory Gardens with Pastor Duane King officiating. The family will receive friends at other times at the home.

Linda was born on December 27, 1943, in Rockingham County to the late Walter T. and Lucille O’dell Smith.

 To simply put it, to have known Linda was to know that God placed Angels here on earth.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her sister, Karen Brammer. Linda is survived by her husband of 53 years, Charlie “Chuck” Chapman; son, Rockey Chapman; daughter, Jodie Chapman; two grandchildren, Jessica Chapman and Brandon Wheeler; three great-grandchildren, Malory “Jala” Mason, Rod Washburn, Bradley Wheeler; brother, Tim Smith; in addition to numerous nieces, nephews and other extended family.
