Ruffin: Linda Dockery Gillie, 67, of 6271 Hwy 700, passed away on Sunday, November 22, 2015 at Morehead Memorial Hospital
A funeral service will be held at 2:00 p.m., Wednesday, November 25, 2015, at Happy Home Congregational Christian Church with Rev. Joel Jackson and Rev. Bruce McBride officiating. Burial will follow in the church cemetery.
Linda was born in Rockingham County to the late William and Nina Stout Dockery. She was a retiree of Southern Bell and a member of Happy Home Congregational Christian Church where she sang in the choir.
Survivors include her husband, Wayne Gillie; daughters, Kristy Gillie Moore and Amy Gillie Bradshaw and husband, Chad; grandchildren, Lukas Moore and Cody Moore; sister, Dee Ann Dockery and partner, Pam Phoenix; canine companion, Memphis and many special friends.
The family will see friends from 6-8 PM on Tuesday, November 24th at Happy Home Congregational Church and other times at the home of Kristy Moore, 211 Chumney Loop, Eden.
