Linda Gail Shoemaker Hamilton

Linda Gail Shoemaker Hamilton, 85, Of Reidsville passed away peacefully on Tuesday, January 28, 2025, surrounded by her family.

A funeral service will be held at 3:00 PM on Sunday, February 2, 2025, at Burton Memorial Baptist Church with Rev. Mike Kilgore and Deacon Bobby Mabe officiating. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service at the church.

Linda was born in Davidson County to the late Preston Arnold Shoemaker and Ruby Lee Gooch Shoemaker. She retired after 39 years from Burlington Mills. Linda loved to read when her vision allowed. She enjoyed her church family at Burton Memorial until she was no longer able to attend but most of all she loved her children and grandchildren.

Along with her parents, she is preceded in death by her daughter, Wanda Hamilton Strader; brothers, Douglas, Carson, Tony and David Shoemaker.

Linda is survived by her loving husband of 68 years, Cliff Hamilton; son, Clifford “Anthony” Hamilton; daughter, Sandra Hamilton Moore (Joe); grandchildren, Michael Strader(Olivia), Brandon Strader(Natalie), James Hamilton (Tabatha) and Jessica Raymond (Chris); 10 great grandchildren; brothers, Johnny, Norman and Larry Shoemaker along with a large and loving group of extended family and friends.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made in her honor to Ancora Compassionate Care at PO Box 281, Wentworth NC 27375.
