Linda Perkins Rickman

Linda Perkins Rickman, 76, went home to be with the Lord on Thursday, January 20, 2022, at Hospice of Rockingham County (Gibson House), surrounded by her loved ones.

Funeral service will be held at 2:00PM on Sunday, January 23, 2022, at Wilkerson Funeral Home with Pastor Nathan Chapmon officiating, burial will follow at Reidlawn Cemetery. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service at the funeral home from 1:00-2:00PM. Due to Covid-19, the family will not receive friends at the home and the family encourages everyone to wear a face mask during the service and visitation.

Linda was born on October 22, 1945, to the late Rev. James Maryland and Dorothy Stanley Perkins in Caswell County. Linda was a member of the Christian Fellowship Assembly of God and enjoyed gardening and bird watching. Her favorite activity was fishing; she loved to fish with her family at the lake or the beach. She was also an animal lover and had many beloved pets over the years. More than anything, she loved her children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren and will be missed by all who knew her. Linda’s life truly shows 2 Timothy 4:7, “I have fought a good fight, I have finished my course, I have kept the faith.”

She is survived by her four children, Cindy Rickman Manley and husband John, Annette Rickman Webb and husband Robert, Todd Rickman and wife Dawn, Cory Rickman and wife April; six grandchildren, Kelly Montgomery and husband Cecil, Michelle Dalton, Mackenzie Rickman, Maddie Rickman, Nathan Rickman and Grayson Rickman; four great-grandchildren, Lauren Montgomery, Timothy, Christopher, and Kendle Dalton; brothers, Larry Perkins and wife Kay, Danny Perkins and wife Deborah “Sissy” in addition to numerous nieces, nephews and other extended family.
