Lisa Griffin Kingree

Johns Creek, Georgia: Lisa Griffin Kingree, 54, passed away on Thursday, February 25, 2016, at her home in Johns Creek, Georgia. Funeral services will be held at 2:00 P.M., Wednesday, March 2, 2016, at Wilkerson Funeral Home with Rev. Bart Friddle officiating. Interment will follow in Fairview Baptist Church cemetery. Lisa was born on March 23, 1961, in Guilford County, to Vincent and Nell Green Griffin. She graduated from Northeast Guilford High School and received her B.A. in Marketing from UNCG. She worked for many years with VF Corporation in Greensboro. On February 22, 1992, Lisa married Bill Kingree and they began a wonderful life together. They moved to the Atlanta, Georgia area in 1996 where she devoted her life to their family. She was an incredible mother who instilled strength and compassion into her two children. She always said motherhood was her greatest achievement. Lisa was currently on the Board of Directors for the Roswell Alpharetta Chapter of the National Charity League. She was involved in numerous community and school events. She volunteered thousands of hours for her children, whether it was for creating the children’s yearbooks for school to being President of the Gridiron Club of Chattahoochee High School. She was all about her children. Lisa was an avid photographer, enjoyed gardening, bird watching and spending time with the family pets, Munson and Milo. We have so many sweet memories of your time with us. We love you, but God loved you more and He needed you to come home. We will keep our faith and be strong knowing you are in a better place. Lisa was an organ donor, whose generous act of kindness and love will potentially aide up to 30 individuals in need. She was preceded in death by her daughter, Logan Elizabeth Kingree. Those left to cherish her memory include her parents, Vincent and Nell Green Griffin of Reidsville, NC; her husband, William “Bill” Kingree of Johns Creek, GA; her children, Jake and Lexi Kingree of the home; sisters, Lori Griffin Nance and husband Randy of Ruffin, NC, Leslie Griffin Pate and husband Eric of Tulsa, OK, Lyndi Griffin Forehand and husband Greg of Monticello, NC and Libbi Griffin and fiancé Jeff Mitchell of Greensboro, and many nieces and nephews. The family will receive friends on Tuesday, March 1, 2016, from 6:00 to 8:00 P.M., at Wilkerson Funeral Home in Reidsville and other times at Lisa’s parent’s house, 8156 Benaja Rd.
