Lloyd Thomas Pruitt

REIDSVILLE: Lloyd Thomas Pruitt, 73, of 232 Thomas Trail, died Sunday, August 25, 2013 at Annie Penn Hospital. Funeral services will be conducted at 3:00 PM on Wednesday, August 28, 2013, at Wilkerson Funeral Home. The burial will follow at Arlington National Cemetery at a later date. Mr. Pruitt was born in Caswell County, North Carolina, to the late William Thomas and Annie Adkins Pruitt. He attended Midway United Methodist Church and was retired from the U.S. Navy. Along with his parents, he was also preceded in death by his brother, Allen Pruitt. He is survived by his wife, Audrey Pruitt of the home; daughters, Janice Gill and husband, Robert of Mechanicsville, MD, Teresa Thompson of Clinton, MD, Diane Hogan of West Palm Beach, FL, and Brenda Kirkpatrick and husband, Chris Wolfe, of Fairfax, VA; nine grandchildren; several great-grandchildren; brothers, Danny Pruitt and Jerry Wayne Pruitt of Gray Court, SC; sisters, Margie Moore of Stokesdale, Carolyn Simpson of Holden Beach, Brenda Williamson of Georgia, Catherine Hopkins of Holden Beach; sister-in-law; Carolyn Pruitt of Anderson Creek. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the charity of the donor’s choosing.
