Reidsville: Lois French Taylor, 81, went home to be with The Lord on Sunday, July 30, 2017, at Pennybyrn at Maryfield in High Point.
A funeral service will be held at 10:00 A.M., on Tuesday, August 1, 2017, at Ruffin Stacey Baptist Church with Rev. Bryan Crotts and Rev. Glenda Bennett officiating. The interment will follow at Mount Carmel United Methodist Church Cemetery. The family will receive friends following the committal service at the Fellowship Hall at Mount Carmel United Methodist Church and other times at Debbie’s home, 1518 Courtland Ave.
Lois was born on April 17, 1936, in Rockingham County to the late Raleigh Herbert French and Irene Vaughn French. She was a member of Mount Carmel United Methodist Church. She was a devoted wife, mother, daughter, grandmother and sister. She was also a loyal friend with a kind heart. Lois enjoyed farm life and caring for animals. She loved genealogy and valued the people and traditions of the past.
Lois is survived by her husband of 62 years, Ed Taylor; daughters, Debbie Underwood (Harold) and Tammie McLean (Mickey); grandchildren, Megan Underwood Tarrant (Mike), Valerie Underwood and fiancé, Jordan Nance and Madeline McLean; great-grandson, Benjamin Tarrant, and sister, Ann Cross (Jett).
