Lona Mae Smith Joyce

Lona Mae Smith Joyce, 84, Went home to be with the Lord on October 21, 2021.

A graveside service will be held on Friday, October 29 at 11AM at Camp Springs United Methodist Church with Rev. Gary Loftis officiating. Per Mae’s request there will be no formal visitation.

Lona Mae was born in Caswell County to the late George Norman Smith and Verdie Susan Apple Smith. She was always a hard worker and retired with over 40 years of service from Glen Raven Mills. She was a member of Pleasant View Assembly of God. She was a faithful wife and caretaker for her husband and made sure he was cared for during his illness.
Along with her parents, she is preceded in death by her husband of 58 years, Crip Joyce; brother, Bobby Smith and a nephew, Dennis Smith.

She is survived by her niece, Angela Dodson (Alan); nephew, Mark Smith (Amy); three great nephews and one great great nephew.

The family wishes to thank the staff of Heartland Living and Rehabilitation for their excellent care during her stay there.

Mrs. Joyce will be available for viewing during funeral home hours prior to the service.
