Lorean Craddock Carter

Reidsville – Lorean Craddock Carter, 80, went to be with her Lord on Thursday, January 3, 2008, at Britthaven of Madison. Funeral services will be held 2:00 PM Saturday, January 5th, at Wilkerson Funeral Home Chapel. Interment will follow in Roselawn Cemetery. Mrs. Carter was born in Rockingham County to the late John Walker and Maggie Vernon Craddock. She lived her entire life in Reidsville where she was a homemaker and a faithful member of the Canaanland Baptist Church. Along with her parents she was preceded in death by brothers, Jim and Bill Craddock; sister, Mary Shelton and grandson, Chad Owens. She is survived by her sons, Jeff Craddock and wife, Joyce of Eden and Ralph Edward Handy and wife, Bonnie of Reidsville; daughters, Brenda Kay Massey of Reidsville; Linda Handy Owens and husband, Rex of Reidsville; grandchildren, Scott Craddock; John Craddock and wife, Christie; Ralph Handy, Jr., and wife, Tandra; Ashley Handy, Vickie Corum; Donald Sutton and wife, Betsy; Tony Sutton, Daniel Sutton and wife, Crystal, Eddie Owens and wife Jennifer, eleven great-grandchildren; brothers, Mack, Dick and Frank Craddock; sisters, Betty Pinnix, Othelia Miller and Lucy Comer. The family will receive friends at Wilkerson Funeral Home on Friday, January 4, 2008 from 7-9 PM and other times at the home of her daughter, Linda Owens, 2635 Ashley Loop Road, Reidsville.
