Lorene Page London

Reidsville – Lorene Page London, 80 of 1161 Oregon Hill Road, passed away Wednesday, January 6, 2009 at Kindred Hospital. Funeral services will be held at 2:00 PM Friday, January 9, 2009 at Ruffin Stacey Baptist Church with Rev. Mike Tillman officiating. The interment will follow at Mt. Carmel United Methodist Church Cemetery. Mrs. London was a lifelong resident of Rockingham County and daughter of the late Charlie Jett and Ruby Ellington Page. She was of the Baptist faith and a member of Ruffin Stacey Baptist Church where she taught Sunday school. Lorene was a homemaker and she enjoyed cooking, babysitting children of the community and was active in her church and the Gideon Auxiliary. Along with her parents she was preceded in death by her beloved husband, William “Bill” London. Lorene is survived by her son, Herbert London of the home and sister, Betty Jean London. The family will receive friends at Ruffin Stacey Baptist Church on Thursday, January 8 from 7:00 – 9:00 PM and other times at the residence.
