Lorraine Huskey Hyler, 81, of 1715 S. Scales St. went home to be with The Lord on Friday, April 16, 2021 surrounded by her loving family at her home.
There will be a private graveside service Monday, April 19, 2021 at Alamance Memorial Park with Rev. Allen Myers officiating. Lorraine will be available for viewing at Wilkerson Funeral Home on Sunday afternoon from noon till 5:00 pm. The family requests that you please remember social distancing and wear a mask.
Lorraine was a native of Caswell County and was the daughter of the late Herman and Lottie Paschal Huskey. The latter part of her working career included serving friends and family as a caregiver. She was formerly a member of Apple’s Chapel Christian Church. Lorraine always put the welfare of others before herself. Over the years she and Wayne also rescued many animals. She was a longtime and faithful member of the Order of the Eastern Star where she served as a Past Worthy Matron and Grand Representative. Along with her parents, Lorraine was also preceded in death by her son Carl Wayne Hyler and her sister Geneva Huskey Corsetti.
Lorraine is survived by her husband Wayne Hyler; her daughter Doodle Jones and husband Pat; brother Donald Van Huskey and wife Cheryl; sister Rachel Ann Still; and extended family.
