Louise Newnam Robertson

Ruffin: Louise Newnam Robertson, 73, of 1948 Oregon Hill Road passed away peacefully surrounded by her family on Wednesday, August 31, 2016 at Annie Penn Hospital. Funeral services will be held at 2:00 PM Friday, September 2, 2016 at Wilkerson Funeral Home with Pastor Heath Lloyd officiating. Burial will follow in Happy Home Church Cemetery. Louise was born on May 4, 1943 to the late “Buddy” and Elizabeth Newnam. She retired from the Rockingham County School system with 25 years of service and loved cooking and spending time in her rose garden. In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her son, Scott Robertson. She is survived by her husband of 54 years, Red Robertson; son, Chris Robertson and wife, Crystal; grandchildren, Owen and Carson Robertson; sister, Jo Ann Walker and husband, Wallace; sister-in-law, Joan Pruitt and husband, Jimmy; nieces, Jen DeLapp and husband, Chris, Janeen Mayfield and husband, Graham; nephews, Jeff Walker and wife Traci, Mark Pruitt and wife, Wendy; great nephews, Trace DeLapp, Tyler Walker, Collin Pruitt and Ethan Cooley; great nieces, Ivy Claire Pruitt, Allison and Katy Mayfield; special friends, Jay, Diane, Keion and Caelyn Thomas. The family will receive friends at Wilkerson Funeral Home on Thursday, September 1st from 6:00 – 8:00 PM and other times at the home of Chris Robertson, 160 Crystal Lake Trail, Reidsville.
