Greensboro - Louise Taylor Whaley, 77, of 901 Knowles Road, went to be with her Lord and Savior surrounded by her loving family on Monday, November 14, 2011, at her home.Funeral services will be held on Thursday, November 17, 2011 at First Congregational Christian Church at 2:00 PM with Rev. Mark Tolodziecki. Interment will follow at Roselawn Memorial Gardens. Mrs. Whaley was born in Duplin County to the late Carries and Debbie Jarman Taylor. She was a member of the First Congregational Christian Church where she was a member of the Ladies Circle 3 and worked in the church nursery. Mrs. Whaley was employed by Short Sugar's for over 30 years. She was a Tarheel fan and liked cooking for family gathering. She celebrated her 77th. birthday with family and friends on October 29, 2011. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, William "Bill" Franklin Whaley, Jr., and son, William Russell Whaley and three sisters.She is survived by her sons, Timothy and Travis Whaley; daughters, Nellie Hobbs and husband, Fred; Faye Demory, Delores Trent and husband, Larry, Mary Apple and husband, Gene, Deborah Tyndall and husband, Doug, Michelle Whaley, Samantha Campbell and husband, Tommy; 26 grandchildren, 23 great grandchildren and one great great grandchild; brothers, John Taylor and wife, Edna Joyce, Donald Taylor and wife, Edna Carol; sisters, Frances Kennedy and husband, John; Mary Cain and Christine Nethercutt and husband, Graham.The family will receive friends 7:00-9:00PM Wednesday, November 16, 2011, at Wilkerson Funeral Home and other times at the residence.Memorial contributions may be made to Hospice Home of Rockingham County, P.O.
