Lovenuia Griffin Bates

Reidsville – Lovenuia “Beanie” Griffin Bates went home to be with Jesus on November 22nd, 2017. A funeral service will be held at 11:00AM, on Saturday, November 25th, 2017 at Wilkerson Funeral Home with Pastor Kenneth Hayes officiating. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service from 10:00AM- 11:00AM at the funeral home. Interment will follow the service at Fairview Baptist Church. Mrs. Bates was dedicated to her God and her family; she loved to garden, squirrel hunt and a hot cup of coffee. Beanie was often heard singing “blessed assurance” as she worked around the house. She was a faithful follower of Jesus Christ, but above all she loved her child and her grandchildren more than anything. Along with her parents, John H. and Lillie G. Griffin; Beanie was preceded in death by her husband Thornton “TB” Bates. Survivors include her son Kenneth Wayne Bates (George Ann); grandsons, Kenneth Wayne Bates II (Tracey), Daniel Lee Bates (Emily); and great grandchildren Anthony Chilton, Kenneth Wayne Bates III, Samantha Bates.
