Lucille Woods Joyce

Reidsville – Lucille Woods (Granny) Joyce, 85, , passed away on Thursday, March 7, 2013 at Hospice Home of Rockingham County. Funeral services will be held at 3:00 PM on Monday, March 11, 2013 in Wilkerson Funeral Home with Rev. Leonard Manuel officiating. Burial will follow in Evergreen Memory Gardens. Lucille was born in Rockingham County to the late Joseph Eugene and Melissa Brown Woods. She was a homemaker and a member of Christian Fellowship Church. Along with her parents she was preceded in death by her husband, General Lee Joyce; son; Curtis Lee Joyce; daughter, Carolyn Rickman; and brothers, Elbert and Spencer Woods; great-grandson, Jimmy Lee Hodges. Survivors include her daughters, Patricia Williams and husband, Frank and Linda Jackson and friend, Michael Kennon; eight grandchildren; eleven great grandchildren; and one great great grandchild; brother, J.W. Woods. The family will receive friends from 6-8 PM on Sunday at Wilkerson Funeral Home and other times at Linda’s home, 375 Apple Road, Reidsville.
