Lucille Dunn Mangum

Reidsville: Lucille Dunn Mangum, 95, passed away Wednesday, March 15, 2017 at Avante Rehabilitation Center. A memorial service may be held at a later date. Mrs. Mangum was born in Clarksville, VA to the late Oscar Jackson Dunn and Fannie Beth Thomas Dunn. She lived most of her life in Durham, NC before moving closer to her family in Reidsville. She was a member of Tabernacle Baptist Church. She was a very kind, loving and giving person and loved to talk to people about her Lord and Savior. “Gracious Granny” as she was called, will be missed by her entire family. She was musically talented, either playing several instruments and/or singing. Along with her parents, Lucille was preceded in death by her husband, Clarence Mangum; son, Charles Dickerson; daughters: Jo Carolyn Blackburn and Brenda Porterfield; three brothers and two half-sisters. Survivors include several grandchildren: David Blackburn, Paul Blackburn, Cathy Blackburn, Marcus Edwards III, Melissa Edwards, Todd Dickerson, Tori Thomas and Angela Sands; and seven great grandchildren. Memorial donations may be made to the family to help defray expenses.
