Lucille Turman Robertson

Reidsville: Lucille Turman Robertson, 87, of Penn Nursing Center, formerly of Eden Estates, died Sunday, November, 29 2009 at Annie Penn Hospital. Funeral services will be held 2:00 PM Wednesday, December 2, 2009 at Wilkerson Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Jackie Talton officiating. The burial will follow in Highland Burial Park in Danville, Virginia.Mrs. Robertson was born in Carroll County, Virginia to the late Everette and Viola Largen Turman. She was a former employee of Dan River Mills, a homemaker and attended Calvary’s Hill Baptist Church. Along with her parents, she was also preceded in death by her husband, Lewis Edward Robertson; brothers, Clarence Henry, Clayton Everette, Clifton Dean and George Earl Turman; great grandchild, Trinity Lenora Smith. Survivors include her daughter, Linda Robertson Smith and husband, David; grandson, Douglas Edward Smith and wife, Jenni all of Reidsville; sisters, Inez Isabelle Turman of Danville and Nelda Turman Nester of Laurel Fork, Virginia.The family will receive friends, Tuesday evening from, 6:30 - 8:00 PM at Wilkerson Funeral Home and other times at the home of her daughter, 802 Strawberry Road, Reidsville.Memorials may be made to the American Cancer Society, 4 A Oak Branch Drive, Greensboro, North Carolina 27407.
