Lucille Walker Wilson

Reidsville – Mary “Lucille” Walker Wilson, 88, passed away on Monday, December 7, 2009 at Hospice Home of Rockingham County.Funeral services will be held 2:00 PM Wednesday, December 9, 2009 at Trinity Baptist Church with Rev. Gaylord Dix officiating. Interment will follow in Pleasant Grove Primitive Baptist Church cemetery.Mrs. Wilson was born in Caswell County to the late Joe and Jenny Ware Walker. She was of the Baptist faith and a member of Trinity Baptist Church. Lucille was a loving and devoted mother and loved her family dearly. Along with her parents she was preceded in death by her husband, Andrew Wilson, Three sisters and Five Brothers. She is survived by her sons, Joe Wilson and wife, Betty of Reidsville and Douglas Wilson of Mayodan; daughters, Magdalene Apple and Starr McKinney and husband, Roy all of Reidsville, eleven grandchildren, sixteen great-grandchildren, three great-great-grandchildren; and sister, Effie Troxler of Gibsonville.The family will receive friends at Wilkerson Funeral Home on Tuesday, December 8, 2009 from 7:00 – 9:00 PM and other times at the residence of her son Joe Wilson, 11555 Cherry Grove Road, Reidsville, NC.In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to either Hospice of Rockingham County, P.O. Box 281, Wentworth, N.C., 27375 or Trinity Baptist Church Building Fund, Highway 150 East, Reidsville, N.C., 27320.
