Lucy Alice Edwards Bryant

Reidsville – Lucy Alice Edwards Bryant, 89, of 815 Poplar Street, passed away May 29, 2016 at her home. Graveside funeral services will be held 11:00 AM, Thursday, June 2, 2016 at Evergreen Memory Gardens with Chaplain Tripp Kimbrough officiating. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service at Wilkerson Funeral Home and other times at the home. Mrs. Bryant was a native of Stuart, VA and was the daughter of the late, James and Mary Meiller Edwards. She retired from the Reidsville Review after 20 years of service. Mrs. Bryant was an avid Bingo enthusiast and often spoke of her fond memories while living in England. Along with her parents, she was also preceded in death by her husband, Leland W. Bryant; sisters, Hazel Johnson, Jessie Kontoulas and Leva Craig; and brother, Thomas Edwards. Mrs. Bryant is survived by her children, Wallace Bryant of Springdale, AR and Barbara Bryant Clifton of the home; grandchildren, Barry Bryant and wife, Alisha, Joshua Bryant and wife, Ashley, Joseph Bryant and wife, Angela, Melvin Kellough and Mary Ann Clifton and fiancé, Curtis Wray; 7 great grandchildren; 2 great-great grandchildren; brother, James Edwards of Lynchburg, VA and a large extended family.
