Lucy Maie Golden Atkins

Lillington, NC - Lucy Maie Golden Atkins, 79, of 1304 Micro Tower Road, formerly of Reidsville, passed away on Tuesday, February 17, 2015, at the Cape Fear Valley Medical Center in Fayetteville, NC. Funeral services will be held at 2:00 PM, Friday, February 20, 2015 at Penn Memorial Baptist Church with Rev. Tommy Puryear officiating. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service at the church. The interment will follow in Evergreen Memory Gardens. Mrs. Atkins was born in Transylvania County to the late John and Cannie Owens Golden. She was a longtime member of Penn Memorial Baptist Church and was retired from Miller Brewing Company. Along with her parents, she was also preceded in death by her husband, Billy Lee Atkins, four brothers and two sisters. Survivors include her sister, Gertrude Sheppard and numerous nieces and nephews.
