Lucy Jean Hyatt Krites, 65, of Reidsville, left her loved ones unexpectantly on Wednesday, November 4, 2020 to don her angels wings - she was removed suddenly from our lives, but will always forever remain in our hearts!
Friends are encouraged to come and join the family for a celebration of her life, as well as her daughter, April Tate, at 2:00 PM Tuesday, November 10, 2020 at Wilkerson Funeral Home with Dr. Neal Stewart officiating. Burial will follow at Evergreen Memory Gardens.
Lucy was born on March 20, 1955 in Shelby, OH. While growing up she attended various public schools and later with great pride she completed her education in RCC’s Continued Education Program receiving her G.E.D. She was a dedicated employee for 43 years with Unifi Inc. as a Textiles Technician and at one point even traveled to China to train others. Lucy retired in July 2017 to just CHILL, enjoy family, and travel. She loved the beach, Pigeon Forge, coffee, TV soaps, wind chimes, HSN and last but NOT LEAST especially Jeff Krites and all of her family members!
Lucy was preceded in death by: Mary Marlene Scronce, Mother; Gordon Francis Hyatt, Father; William Parks Preslar, Sr., Dad, April Michelle Tate, daughter; Janet Speakman Preslar, sister-in-law; Wilma Vanderpool, Willie Hyatt, Butch Hyatt, Winston Settles, siblings.
Lucy is survived by: Jeffrey Lynn Krites, Sr., husband,; William Darrell Tate(Robin), Jeffrey Lynn Krites, Jr. (Molly), sons; Thelma Scronce Preslar, Mom; Margaret Preslar Hash (Sonny), sister; William Parks Preslar, Jr., Beverly Clyde Preslar (Carol), Marvin Ray Preslar, brothers; Rocky Myers, Ruth McCaman, Eddie Hyatt, siblings; Daylin Carter, McKynlee Krites, J.T. Tate, Ashley Biggs, Chelsea Tate (Ricky), Zach Apple, grandchildren ; Zoey, Zaya, Charlotte Rae, Cole, Hailey, Zachery, great grandchildren; and various nieces and nephews.
In lieu of flowers, monterary donations to help with funeral expenses and support for Daylin would be welcomed.
